Blazzers & Bearcats take the spoils at Castleknock

The sun shone brightly this year for the Castleknock Softball Club Annual Blitz on Saturday 8th July. Again we welcomed teams from Galway and Belfast as well as established Dublin clubs such as Marlay, Renegades, Suspects, Blazzers and Sluggers, Packers, Kegs.

Volunteers Connect Qualcomm with Softball

On another wet summer’s day in Dublin a lively crew from Qualcomm made their way to Railway Union sports centre in Sandymount. Greeted by a number of volunteers from the Softball Leinster teams of BatPak and Sluggers the afternoon’s entertainment of softball began.

Suspects Pink Charity Blitz - Thank You

The Suspects softball teams would like to thank all those who participated in their Pink Charity Blitz over the weekend. The tournament was a great success and raised over €1,300 for The Irish Cancer Society and National Children's Hospital.

Niall Mellon Charity Blitz

The 28th May Niall Mellon Township Trust Charity Blitz was a huge success with Castleknock Bearcats and Wildcats welcomed six teams from as far afield as Galway and Belfast as well as established Dublin clubs such as Marlay, Renegades, Blazzers and Sluggers.

Celebratory Softball Game to Honour President Obama

A wet and wild windy day welcomed our softball volunteers who had come together to participate in the celebratory softball game that would coincide with the memorable arrival of President Obama in Ireland.

Dublin Traffic Restrictions 14-20 May

Brian Walshe Cup, Plate, & Bowl

on 27 April 2011.

The First Round of the Brian Walshe Cup and Plate will be played on Tuesday May 3rd and Wednesday May 4th.  The Cup is now an invitational competition open to the top 16 seeded teams in Ireland based on TLS and all teams will be guaranteed to play a minimum of two games.

Softball Ireland Byelaws 2011 published

Softball Ireland have published the initial Byelaws for the 2011 season. These initial set of byelaws contain the player and teams registration fees for the coming season.
