We are just a few days away from the start of the season. As we finalise the last few things to make the season a success we would like to point out a few important things about the upcoming season.
Due to the new General Data Protection Regulations, all players will have to register themselves to play on their team. To help us manage with the player registration we are using a service called Klubfunder. It is free for us to use and players should be able to fill out the form and register in just a few minutes.
Everyone who plays with Softball Leinster should choose the Softball Leinster Player option and add that to your basket. Unless you have been specifically told by you team captain you should not pay for your player registration with a credit or debit card on this site. Most teams will pay through bank transfer with your subs, so you should select the Cash/Cheque as the payment option.
Choose the primary team you are registering with and paying your subs for the SI player registration. No player can play in the Leinster League unless they are registered on this site. Captains will be updated on their player rosters in advance of their first games next week. If you have players playing in the Brian Walshe Cup Start of the Season Blitz this weekend they should register as well. If you play on a second team you must register with that team as well, by choosing the Secondary Team Registration and filling out the info as before with the secondary team as the option.
A few teams who were playing in Mount Temple last year have moved to a new location in St. Annes. The link can be found here and there is plenty of parking on the Clontarf Road along the seafront or on Watermill road. Public transport can be a little tricky. From town you can take the 29A to Raheny or the 130 along the seafront to Mount Prospect Avenue near the Red Stables. Both are about a 10 minute walk from the fields. Alternatively the DART in Raheny is about a 15 minute walk down Watermill road.
