Usual Suspects

The Usual Suspects started playing in 1996 in the 5 and 5 League as at the time the main League was 7 men and 3 women. In 1997 we won the 6th Division. In 1998 we were runners up in the 5th Division and we attended our first Blitz in Galway. In 2001 we travelled for our first overseas tournament to Manchester. Since then, we have played all over the UK and Europe, from Edinburgh, to Bristol, to Windsor, to Leeds, from Belgium to Germany, to Austria and France. We have also taken teams to Cape Town, New Zealand, and Hawaii. We are the most travelled team in Ireland.

In 2005 our second team the Deadly Suspects were born.

Our Pink Blitz raises money for Cancer Research and the Children’s Hospital and has been going for 24 years. To date we have raised over €28k.

The Suspects are a band of 30 players and more than 100 players have been Suspects over the years. The Suspects are responsible for many relationships and at least 25 children t hat we know of.

We now have two generations playing, mother and daughter and father playing with a daughter and a son.

We have had nationalities from Ireland, France, Spain, USA, Canada, South Africa, Australia, Argentina, Venezuela, and Chinese Taipei.
